This specimen was lot 4666 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$363 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Halbtaler 1728, Zürich. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich. Feine Patina. (Switzerland, city and canton of Zürich, half thaler of 1728, Zürich mint. Rare in this condition, Extremely Fine, Nicely toned.)"
This type was struck 1723-36, 1739-45, 1748, 1751-61, 1767-68 along with a half thaler with a city view reverse.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specifications: 14 g, silver, 33-34 mm diameter, this specimen 13.55 g.
