Zeeland 1766 1/4 silver ducat

from the Mountain Groan Collection

This type was struck in gold 1773-87 and in silver 1762-82, 1785-93. Zeeland seems to be the only province which struck this denomination, worth twelve stuivers, in quantity. Half and eighth siver ducats also exist.

Specification: KM 99: 7.08 g, 0.873 fine silver; KM 99a: 8.35 g, 0.986 fine gold.
