Künker Auction 426, lot 3032

This specimen was lot 3032 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €130 (about US$184 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"EUROPÄISCHE MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN · NIEDERLANDE, ZEELAND Provinz. Silberdukat 1763. Sehr schön. (Netherlands, province of Zeeland, silver ducat of 1763. Very fine.)"

This type was struck nearly continuously 1757-94 with a tower mintmark. Zeeland also struck half, quarter and eighth silver ducats, the only province to do so.

Specifications: 28.25 g, 0.873 fine silver, 42 mm diameter, cabled edge, this specimen 27,46 g.
