This specimen was lot 2549 in Jean Elsen sale 160 (Brussels, November 2024), where it sold for €120 (about US$152 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"NEDERLAND, ZEELAND, Provincie, AR zilveren dukaat, 1762. Vz/ Staande ridder r. met zwaard en provinciewapen. Kz/ Gekroond Generaliteitswapen. Klein defect aan de rand. goede Zeer Fraai. (Netherlands, province of Zeeland, silver ducat of 1762. Obverse: standing knight with sword and provincial arms; reverse: crowned arms of the Generality. Small edge defect, good very fine.)"

Zeeland struck silver ducats throughout the eighteenth century until the collapse of the United Provinces in 1794. This subtype was struck 1757-94 and many dates are common. Zeeland also struck half, quarter and eighth silver ducats, the only province to do so.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
