Zeeland 1760 silver ducat Dav-1848
This specimen was lot 1919 in Jean Elsen sale 125 (Brussels, June 2015), where it sold for €160 (about US$213 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, ZEELAND, Provincie, AR zilveren dukaat, 1760. Vz/ Ridder n.r. met zwaard en provinciewapen. Kz/ Gekroond Generaliteitswapen. Zeer Fraai. (Netherlands, province of Zeeland, silver ducat of 1760. Obverse: standing knight supports the provincial arms; reverse: crowned arms of the Generality, very fine.)"
This type was struck throughout the eighteenth century until 1794. The SCWC catalogs this as Dav-4914, which is only correct for the pre-1700 issues.
