This specimen was lot 3687 in Goldberg sale 84 (Los Angeles, January 2015), where it sold for $1,351. The catalog description[1] noted, "Netherlands: Zeeland. 14 Gulden, 1760. Knight on horseback. NGC graded AU-58." This type, called a "golden rider," was struck by the various United Provinces of the Netherlands in the mid eighteenth century; Zeeland made this type 1760-64.

Recorded mintage: 272,000 for 1760-64 (including 7 gulden).

Specification: 9.93 g, 0.917 fine gold.
