This specimen was lot 518 in Schulman auction 379 (Amsterdam, June 2024), where it sold for €5,000 (about US$6,425 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ZEELAND Provincie 1580 - 1795. Piedfort dukaton of zilveren rijder. 1664, Silver Type I. Ruiter naar rechts boven ongekroond provinciewapentje MO: NO: ARG: PRO: CON - FCE: BELG: COM: ZEL. ♖*. Kz. gekroond wapen, jaartal boven de kroon. Dit jaartal hebben wij als piedfort de afgelopen 30 jaar niet mogen verhandelen. RR. Aantrekkelijk gepatineerd. Prachtig +. (province of Zeeland, piedfort ducaton or silver rider of 1664, type I. Obverse: mounted knight charges to right over the provincial arms, tower mintmark; reverse: crowned arms, date above. Our first offering of this type in thirty years, attractively toned, extremely fine or better.)"

The SCWC lists the regular ducaton (KM 41.1) for 1659-72. Double ducatons are mentioned in Davenport for 1659-68.

Specification: 64.94 g, 0.941 fine silver, 42 mm diameter, this specimen 65.41 g.
