This specimen was lot 3639 in Künker sale 440 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €60 (about US$83 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH Karl, 1864-1891. Ku.-1/4 Kreuzer 1865. Fast Stempelglanz. (kingdom of Württemberg, Charles, 1864-91, copper quarter kreuzer of 1865. About uncirculated.)"
Karl was king during German unification. A homosexual, he left no children and was succeeded by his nephew. One gulden was sixty kreuzer. This type was struck 1865-71.
