Steve Album sale 51, lot 1013

This specimen was lot 1013 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $1,140. The catalog description[1] noted, "WÜRTTEMBERG: Karl I, 1864-1891, AR vereinsthaler, 1865, a superb mint state example! PCGS graded MS65, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This type was struck 1865-67 and is somewhat expensive. It also comes with the stag's antlers not interrupting the legend (KM 614). One thaler was 120 kreuzer.

Recorded mintage: 275,848 for both types.

Specifications: 18.52 g, 0.900 fine silver, 33 mm diameter.
