Künker sale 335, lot 4472

This specimen was lot 4472 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €11,000 (about US$14,395 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"WÜRTTEMBERG, WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH. Karl Rudolf von Württemberg-Neuenstadt als Administrator und Vormund von Karl Eugen, 1737-1738. 1/2 Reichstaler 1737, Stuttgart. Geharnischtes Brustbild r.//Vierfeldiges Wappen mit württembergischem Mittelschild auf Hermelin, darüber Fürstenhut. RR Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz (Germany, duchy of Wurttemberg, Charles Rudolf of Württemberg-Neuenstadt as administrator and regent for Charles Eugene, 1737-38, half thaler of 1737, Stuttgart mint. Obverse: armored bust right; reverse: capped and quartered arms. Rare, cabinet piece, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This half thaler accompanied a thaler (Dav-2851), also rare.
