This specimen was lot 4445 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €2,400 (about US$3,141 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"WÜRTTEMBERG, WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH. Johann Friedrich, 1608-1628. Reichstaler 1625, Christophstal. Hübsche Patina, sehr schön +. (Germany, duchy of Wurttemberg, John Frederick, 1608-28, thaler of 1625. Handsome patina, very fine or better.)"
This thaler was struck 1624-25. Other thalers for 1625 include Dav-7856, -7862, -7864; all are rare.
