This specimen was lot 23412 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Las Vegas, August 2020), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. West Friesland. Ducaton, 1791/0. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details Gold Shield. A nice wholesome example with evidence of an old cleaning now lightly toned. From the BKingdom Collection." Westfriesland struck this denomination throughout the eighteenth century until 1793. This was the largest silver coin and many subtypes exist. This one was struck 1774-93 and is common. The 1791/0 overdate shown here is noted as rare while the 1791/81 is common.
