This specimen was lot 510 in Schulman auction 379 (Amsterdam, June 2024), where it sold for €140 (about US$180 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"WEST-FRIESLAND Het Gewest 1581 - 1795. 1/2 Dukaton of 1/2 zilveren rijder. 1780, Silver Ruiter naar rechts boven gewestelijk wapentje, zonder mmt.. Kz. generaliteitswapen, jaartal met kromme 7 in cartouche. Kabelrand. Gietgalletjes. Zeer fraai. (province of Westfriesland, half ducaton or silver rider of 1780, type III. Obverse: Mounted knight charges to right over the provincial arms, no mintmark; reverse: crowned arms, date with curved 7 in cartouche; cabled edge. Planchet defects, very fine.)"

This mintmark was used on this denomination 1775-94. Overdates exist but none are reported for this date.
