This specimen was lot 43056 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. West Friesland. Lion Daalder, 1624. NGC Genuine." Lion daalders were struck in most of the provinces that today make up the Netherlands. This type is recorded in the SCWC for Westfriesland for 1604-1713 with various mintmarks. This subtype was struck 1606-30 and 1650. Most dates are common but choice specimens are rare as striking quality was low.
