This specimen was lot 52443 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $630. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. West Friesland. Taler, 1596. Hoorn Mint. NGC MS-62. This wonderful and sparkling Mint State example delivers a crisp strike and soft shimmering luster throughout. A wonderful piece for any specialist in the series." This type is listed for 1593-99 (Dav-8865) and 1607-93 (Dav-4842) with various mintmarks.
