Ponterio sale 169, lot 10364

This specimen was lot 10364 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $484. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Waldeck-Pyrmont. Taler, 1867. NGC MS-63. Attractive toning." This type is not common but is one of the few that are not excessively rare from this tiny state.

Recorded mintage: 19,000.

Specification: 18.52 g, 0.900 fine silver.
