This specimen was lot 40571 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $1,939. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Waldeck-Pyrmont. Taler, 1824-FW. NGC MS-62. Toned, sharply struck." This type is not common but is one of the few that are not excessively rare from this tiny state.
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
Specification: 29.45 g, 0.868 fine silver.
