This specimen was lot 2197 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "VIET NAM: Socialist Republic, AR 100 đồng, 1997, UNICEF, NGC graded Proof 67 Ultra Cameo." Vietnam was not issuing any coins for circulation at this time. The 100 dong seems to have been the most favored denomination for silver NCLT's, but issues varied between 12 and 20 grams. This one honoring UNICEF seems to be among the more available but none are common.
Recorded mintage: 25,000 proofs.
Specification: 16 g, 0.999 fine silver.
Catalog reference: KM-60.
