This specimen was lot 23123 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $1,057.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Vienna. Christof Anton Taler 1781-ICFA, MS62 NGC, very scarce type from Vienna as a Bishopric. Somewhat mottled toning with light handling in the fields." Vienna was promoted to an archbishopric in 1722 altho the archbishop never became an elector of the empire and had no temporal power, like the archbishops of Trier, Cologne, Mainz and Salzburg. This type is quite scarce.
