This specimen was lot 1172 in Jean Elsen sale 162 (Brussels, June 2025), where it sold for €100 (about US$139 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"NEDERLAND, UTRECHT, Provincie, AR daalder van 30 stuiver, 1685. Vz/ Gekroond provinciewapen gehouden door twee leeuwen. Kz/ Gekroonde wapens van het bisdom en het graafschap Holland en daaronder van de stad Utrecht, tussen vier gekroonde wapens. (Netherlands, province of Utrecht, silver daalder of thirty stuivers of 1685. Obverse: crowned provincial arms supported by two lions; reverse: crowned arms of the bishopric and county of Holland and below that of the city of Utrecht, between four crowned arms. Very Fine.)"

This daalder of thirty stuivers (or 1½ gulden) is noted for 1685-92 and is an obscure denomination, fitting uneasily among the half lion daalders, half rijksdaalders, half ducatons and silver half ducats. Presentation strikes exist in gold.

Recorded mintage: 808,295 for 1685-88.
