This specimen was lot 33840 in Heritage sale 3114 (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $2,400. The lot description[1] noted, "Netherlands: Utrecht. Provincial gold 1/2 Cavalier d'Or (1/2 Gold Rider) 1607 AU Details (Cleaned) NGC, Utrecht mint, An impressive early issue Half Gold Rider, still quite majestic even taking into account the light hairlines from a past cleaning. From the Coenen Collection." This type is listed for 1606-08, 1614-22, 1629, 1639 and 1644 along with a full gouden rijder. Demi-cavalier d'or is the French name for this coin.
