This specimen was lot 25187 in Heritage sale 3019 (Chicago, April 2012), where it sold for $1,610. The catalog description[1] noted, "Gelderland. Cavalier d'Or 1608, XF Details (polished), a large and impressive type featuring a knight on horseback. The surfaces have been polished but there is no evidence of a mount." This type is recorded for 1606-28 along with a half cavalier d'or and the regular ducat. This coin was called the gouden rijder in Dutch.
