This specimen was lot 215 in Schulman auction 385 (Amsterdam, July 2025), where it sold for €5,000 (about US$7,074 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"GELDERLAND Provincie 1581 - 1795. Grote oude gouden rijder, 1619 over 1616, Gold Type I op groot plaatje. Ruiter naar rechts boven provinciewapentje, mt. na omschrift . - MO. AV. PRO. CONFOE - .BE - LG. GEL.. Kz. generaliteitswapen zonder waardeaanduiding en met jaartal boven de kroon. Gladde rand.Deze zeldzame overslag is voor het laatst bij ons voorgekomen in 1981, toen de muntvondst Sintmaartensdijk 1980 onder de hamer kwam, RRR. Uiterst zeldzame overslag Centraal goed uitgemunt met stempelglans. Prachtig +. (province of Gelderland, 1581-1795, large gold rider, 1619/6, type I on a large planchet. Obverse: mounted knight charges over the provincial arms; reverse: crowned arms of the Generality, date above, plain edge. This overdate was last offered for sale in 1981. Extremely rare, choice extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1606-08, 1613-28 but all dates are rare. The SCWC also reports the existence of overdates 1619/15, 1619/4 and 1619/7. Half cavaliers d'or (Fr-241) also exist. Other provinces struck cavaliers d'or as well but the type was abandoned in favor of the ducat after the mid-seventeenth century.
