Uganda 1966 shilling

This type was struck in 1966, 1968, 1972 and 1975 and no date is rare. A crowned crane stalks the reverse. Political instability and inflation in Uganda has reduced coinage to the occasional emission of NCLT's.

Recorded mintage: 24,500,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 6.4 g, copper-nickel, 26 mm diameter.
