This specimen was lot 72832 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $1,440. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS. 100 Crowns, 1977. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. "Four Ages of George III". An incredibly interesting and RARE numismatic type, featuring the four busts of George III that were used on his coinage. Supremely frosted devices with richly mirrored fields." Another scarce NCLT from a forgotten corner of the Caribbean. Several other issues from 1974-79 used the same module. This design also appeared on a silver twenty crowns (KM 18).

Recorded mintage: unknown plus 844 proofs plus 4,303 of KM 17.

Specification: 18.02 g, 0.500 fine gold.
