This specimen was lot 33278 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $1,080. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ottoman Empire. Suleyman I (1520-1566) gold Dinar AH 926 (1519/20) VF35 ANACS, Baghdad mint (in Iraq). An ever-popular type from one of the Ottoman dynasty's greatest rulers--styled as "the Magnificent"--the present specimen seems to be somewhat conservatively graded for overall execution of the strike and residual luster. Ex. Dr. Hans Wilski Collection."
