This specimen was lot 31164 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $2,040. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ottoman Empire. Selim I (1515-1520) gold Sultani AH 918 (1512/3) XF45 ANACS, Amid mint (in Turkey). A quite nice example replete with the soft golden color so desirable for the type, displaying some slight bends and deposits on the reverse. Ex. Dr. Hans Wilski Collection."
