This specimen was lot 433 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Selim III, 1789-1807, AV sultani, Islambul, AH1203 year 19, choice EF, ex Ahmed Sultan Collection." This type was struck years 17-19. It was intended to compete with the European ducat.
