This specimen was lot 279 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Mahmud I, 1730-1754, AR yirmilik, Kostantiniye, AH1143, initial VIII, superb luster, rotated reverse, a truly stunning example! PCGS graded MS66. Finest graded at PCGS." This type, dated AH 1143 only, comes with initials viii, xii, xiv, xv and xix. The similar KM-207 is rare.
