Turkey AH 1143 1/2 zeri mahbub
This specimen was lot 2266 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"OSMANISCHES REICH | Mahmûd I. 1143-1168 H./1730-1754 AD., 1/2 Zer-i mahbûb 1143 H., Islâmbûl. Mzz. mîm. Tughra über Mzst. und Jahr, ohne Zeichen unten rechts und links neben der Tughra, kleiner Av.-Stempel, Rv. Titel. Selten. Vorzüglich. Kleine Biegespur am Rand. (Turkey, Mahmud I, 1730-54, half zeri mahbub of AH 1143, Istanbul mint, mintmark mîm. Obverse: toughra over mintmark and date. Rare, Extremely fine, Slightly bent.)"
This tiny coin accompanied a zeri mahbub (Fr-43). The mîm mintmark crosses over to mintmark "xv" in the SCWC but we don't think that that is a regnal date.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.30 g, gold, this specimen 1.29 g.
