This specimen was lot 29543 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $2,350. The catalog description[1] noted, "Trier - Archbishopric. Kuno II von Falkenstein (1362-88) Goldgulden 1374-76 MS65 NGC, Coblenz mint, COnO AR Є | PS TRЄVЄ, St. Peter seated on Gothic throne with scepter and key, the arms of Münzenberg and Saarwerden at his feet / + SΛCRI IMPERII : PERGΛLLΛRC, arms of Köln-Trier in hexilobe, trefoil pellets in angles. A superb specimen of this issue, perfectly centered and evenly struck. The surfaces are fully lustrous and lack distracting marks. This is certainly among the most visually appealing German Goldgulden we have seen from this period and, to date, the highest-graded example we have offered." Friedberg does not attempt to date this coin any closer than Kuno's reign (1362-88).
