This specimen was lot 662 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "DANISH INDIA: TRANQUEBAR: Frederick V, 1746-1766, AE 2 kas, 1761, crowned F5 monogram // crowned DAC monogram, full date, '2' for denomination below reverse; lovely strike, bold VF, RR, ex Solar Collection." The Danish fort at Tranquebar was sold to the British in 1845. During the reign of Christian VI, the lead cash was dropped in favor of copper.
