This specimen was lot 25115 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $1,645. The catalog description[1] noted, "Danish Colonial India - Tranquebar. Frederick V Royalin 1756, MS62 NGC, a superb coin with deep gray patina and incredibly sharp design features, a gorgeous example which could easily be a specimen striking. Sold with an old collector's tag in Danish." The SCWC lists this rare type for 1756 and 1762-66. The Danish fort at Tranquebar was sold to the British in 1845.
