This specimen was lot 1596 in Sincona sale 6 (Zürich, May 2012), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIEN Tassarolo Livia Centurioni Oltremarini (Frau von Filippo Spinola), 1616-1688. Löwentaler o. J. Imitation der niederländischen Geldsorte. Äusserst selten. Sehr schön. (Italy, county of Tassarolo, Livia Centurioni Oltremarini (wife of Filippo Spinola), 1616-1688, lion daalder without date. Imitation of a Dutch lion daalder. Very rare, very fine.)"

This rare tallero was minted in imitation of a Dutch leeuwendaalder. Tassarolo is a tiny region in Genoa, today claiming less than a thousand souls.
