This specimen was lot 5659 in Sincona sale 35 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 700 CHF (about US$831 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Confederation, 50 Franken 2004. Matterhorn. Ohne Etui. Polierte Platte. FDC. (Swiss confederation, fifty francs of 2004, on the Matterhorn. Choice Proof.)"

Recorded mintage: 7,000 proofs.

Specification: 11.29 g, 0.900 fine gold, 25.1 mm diameter, designed by Stephen Bundi; this specimen 11.29 g.
