This specimen was lot 2921 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND: Confederation, 20 rappen, Bern, 1953-B, beautiful light tone with some nice contrast, a lovely example! PCGS graded Specimen 67." This type was struck 1881-1938 with no change in design. In 1939, the coin was converted to copper-nickel and is still in production in that form. The "B" mintmark was dropped 1970-85.
Recorded mintage: 6,958,000, a common date.
Specification: 4 g, copper-nickel, 21.05 mm diameter, plain edge.
