This specimen was lot 31908 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $411.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Confederation gold 20 Francs 1914-B, MS64 NGC. Full mint bloom with slightly prooflike fields. Overall very attractive." This type was struck 1897-1935 in large numbers and most dates are readily available today for their bullion value.

Recorded mintage: 700,000.

Specification: 6.45 g, 0.900 fine gold, .186 troy oz AGW.
