This specimen was lot 5293 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 140 CHF (about US$187 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND, 1/2 Franken 1914 B, Bern. NGC MS67." This type was struck without change 1875-1967. It is struck to the module of the French half franc of 1866-1920. The design is still in use, tho the coin is now copper-nickel.
Recorded mintage: 2,000,000, the first really common date.
Specification: 2.5 g, 0.835 fine silver, 18.2 mm diameter, reeded edge.
