This specimen was lot 4441 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 90 CHF (about US$136 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Eidgenossenschaft, 2 Franken 1886 B, Bern. Fast vorzüglich. Kratzer. (confederation of Switzerland, two francs of 1886, Bern mint. About Extremely Fine, Scratches.)"

This type was struck at the Bern mint starting in 1874 and the design is still in use today tho the coin is now nickel. This specimen is struck to the standard of the French two francs of 1866-1920. Many of the dates from the twentieth century are very common but this one is somewhat scarce. Prior to confederation in 1850, each Swiss canton issued its own coins.

Specification: 10 g, 0.835 fine silver, 27.4 mm diameter, this specimen 9.93 g.
