This specimen was lot 31805 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $305.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Carl XIV Johan Skilling 1822, MS62 Brown NGC. An attractive example of this large copper denomination with bold details. There is a small flan clip at 2 o'clock on the obverse, not unusual for this series." Prior to the reform of 1830, 48 skilling = one riksdaler. This is a common date of a type struck 1819-30. The denomination was terminated in 1855.
