This specimen was lot 31800 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $79. The catalog description[1] noted, "Carl XIV Johan 1/4 Skilling 1821, AU55 Brown NGC. Nicely struck with rich brown surfaces." Prior to the reform of 1830, 48 skilling = one riksdaler. This is a common date of a type struck 1819-30. The denomination was terminated in 1855.

Recorded mintage: 2,208,000.

Specification: 4.3 g, copper, 25.5-26 mm diameter.
