This specimen was lot 31803 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $364.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Carl XIV Johan 1/2 Skilling 1824, MS62 Brown NGC. A warm, chocolate brown with hints of mint red clinging to the devices." Prior to the reform of 1830, 48 skilling = one riksdaler. This is a slightly scarce date of a type struck 1819-30. The denomination was terminated in 1833.
