Carl XIV Johan. NGC MS-64 Brown. Variety with square milling. Perched at the top of NGC's census, this rich brown near Gem offers a high level of lustrous brilliance and even displays a hint of off-centering and slight clipping of the planchet." Prior to the reform of 1830, 48 skilling = one riksdaler. The denomination was terminated in 1855. This type was struck 1819-30 and is not rare, altho the variety with oblique milling is scarce.
