This specimen was lot 78498 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $1,020. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Riksdaler, 1738. Stockholm Mint. Frederik I. PCGS EF-40. From the Richard August Collection." In the pre-reform Swedish coinage, 8 öre = 1 mark and 96 öre = 1 riksdaler. This type was struck in several varieties 1738-48 and is the second reasonably common Swedish thaler.

Specification: 29.25 g, 0.878 fine silver, 41-42 mm diameter, lettered edge.
