This specimen was lot 1692 in Ponterio sale 173 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $1,410. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Riksdaler, 1726. PCGS Genuine--Cleaning, AU Details Secure Holder. Fredrik I (1720-51)." In the pre-reform Swedish coinage, 8 öre = one mark and 48 öre = one riksdaler. This type was struck in several varieties 1723-38 and is the first reasonably common Swedish thaler.

Recorded mintage: 6,614.

Specification: 29.25 g, 0.878 fine silver, 41-42 mm diameter, edge lettered MANIBUS NE LAEDAR AVARIS.
