This specimen was lot 1687 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $1,762.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 2 Daler Plate Money, 1725. Fredrik I (1720-51). 7 x 7.5 in. RARE (Tingstrom: 35 examples known including 7 pieces from the Nicobar). For the most part, stamps boldly applied. The center stamp is nearly complete. The corner stamps display four full bold dates, with three stamps showing a second strike. Some minor unobtrusive contact marks. Light evidence of mounting for display on reverse. Even light brown patina. Very attractive. VERY FINE."
