This specimen was lot 984 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $381.88. The catalog description[1] noted, "STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: George V, 1910-1935, AR 10 cents, 1919, very noticeable obverse die clash, brilliant luster! NGC graded MS66." This type was originally 0.600 fine (KM 29, 1916-17), then 0.400 fine (KM 29a, 1918-20) then back to 0.600 fine (KM 29b, 1925-27). The Straits Settlements began as a miscellaneous group of trading stations in Southeast Asia and gradually developed into what is now Malaya.
