This specimen was lot 21903 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $4,025. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria 50 Cents 1900H, AU53 PCGS, gray and gold patina over lustrous surfaces, few small marks in the obverse fields. Rare in this select grade." This type was struck in 1886-1901 and all the dates are scarce to rare. This date is scarce.
Recorded mintage: 40,000 plus proofs.
Specification: 13.57 g, 0.800 fine silver, .349 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
