This specimen was lot 4491 in Sincona sale 95 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 850 CHF (about US$1,178 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ St. Gallen, Stadt und Kanton, Groschen 1619, St. Gallen. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, city and canton of St. Gall, groschen of 1619, St. Gall mint. Good Very Fine.)"
This groschen of 1618-19 is the first one listed in the SCWC although others are known from the sixteenth century. Groschen struck in klippe format exist (KM 52).
