This Spanish five pesetas was issued by Franco's regime 1949-52. All bear the date 1949 below the dictator's bust but have the actual date in the stars on the reverse. The 1949 is scarce, the 1950 is common and the 1951 and 1952 so rare as to be unpriced in the SCWC. Spain was the only country to use this dual dating system, abandoned in 1982.
